BROOKE OGUNYEMI

Brooke's motivation to write this book stems from her own personal struggles with mental health. Inspired by the need to convey the complexities of mental health challenges and recovery to her young daughter, Brooke recognized the importance of addressing this topic with a wider audience.

Through this book, Brooke aims to initiate conversations within families, communities, and society at large. She hopes to normalize discussions about the warning signs of mental health issues and how to recognize when someone might be experiencing a mental health crisis.

ALL ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH

The importance of mental health literacy in families cannot be overstated. Research indicates that approximately 1 in 5 people in the US experience mental health challenges, which can significantly impact their development and overall well-being. Therefore, providing families with access to literature that addresses mental health is crucial for fostering understanding and resilience.
